Searching for God

Searching for God

This article I wrote in the plane ...

I was looking for God all my life. I just did not know it.

When we analyze what expect from life, from friend, from all - we may find that as a believer and atheist actually just looking for God.

Think for a moment about what you are aiming for. What do you expect from your companion, for example? What we pursue and what are ready to do anything just to hear:

"I care about you."

"Everything will be all right."

"I love you. Always. This will never change."

"You can count on me."

"I will never let you down."

"I will never hurt you."

"I will never leave you."

"I'll always be with you."

"I appreciate you."

"I understand you."

"I am with you."

"I will never leave you."

"I will never betray you."

"I'll never let them hurt you."

"I will always protect you."

"I really wish only the best for you."

"No matter what you do, I'll always be able to forgive you."

"I love you, despite your faults and misdeeds."

"I will make you happy."

The truth is that when we thought we were looking for a good husband or a good wife or a good job, in fact, we were in search of God. So it is not surprising that we were disappointed when husband, wife, job, money or fame did not fill our needs or emptiness in soul.

Even this emptiness in my heart created with a specific purpose: to lead us to fill it. The problem is that we try to fill it by wrong things. Everything inside of us was created so that our journey has led to the true fill this void.

Who, if not He?

You thought that storm, ocean, fear, sadness, errors, loss, grief - everything was bad for you. But in fact, these were only the means. Means to force you to look for Him. To bring you back. To return you to the end, fortunately, to life. To bring you back to where you started. To get you back for everything what you are really looking for.

To bring you back to Him.
