Consider the norms of intimate relations in Islam. Consider the position of the Hanafi school of thought, the use of different poses of sex between couples.
There are three most natural posture (i.e. stand, sit (or squatting) and to lie). With regard to postures for intimacy, Islam allows all assuming that it will not be done unnatural actions such as anal sex. However, from a medical point of view, the standing sex undesirable.
Thus, there are two postures: sitting and lying. On this occasion, there are some subtle indications in the Quran and the Hadith. For example, in one of the verses of the Quran Allah Almighty says: "It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her. And when he covers her, she carries a light burden and continues therein". (The Quran, 7:189)
This indicates the position when a woman lies on her back, and a man is on top of her - in a way that covers her body with his. A hadith about bathing mentioned the following method coition: "When one sits between a woman's four parts (shu'biha Al-arba') and then fatigues her..." Scientists have different interpretations of the phrase "woman's four parts". Apparently, means the position when a woman raises her knees, and the man enters her, squatting - in this case her femur and tibia are the "four parts". And Allah knows best.
In addition, any other posture or position that will be pleasing to spouses, is also quite acceptable. Once Hazrat Umar had sexual intercourse with his wife, being behind (but not through the anal passage. Subsequently, the idea took over him that he had done something undesirable. He immediately rushed to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) exclaiming, "I killed, I killed ... "He was asked what was the matter. In response, he spoke about his fear that he had done something undesirable. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) did not say anything, not giving the answer. Some time later, the verses of the Quran were revealed: "Your wives are a place of sowing of seed for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves". (The Quran, 2:223)
Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) explained the meaning of this verse: intimacy permitted from any position, front or rear, if this is not anal sex, which is prohibited. The example given in the Qur'an is arable land, which can be approached from any side, if the seeds are sown in a plowed field, and not in another place!
Among the Medinan Jews existed false belief that a child born from sexual intercourse, in which the husband was behind his wife, will be crossed-eyed. Some Muslims have been misled by this myth. And when was revealed specified verse, all this kind of superstition were broken and refuted once and for all.
