"Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve. So it was written in the Scriptures on the Day when Allah created the heavens and the earth", it is said in the Holy Quran (9:36).
Each month of the lunar calendar marks a definite season and has a practical orientation, and this position was established by the Arabs before Islam. For example, the month of Dhu al-ka'da, Dhul-Hijjah and Muharram follow each other and are forbidden months apart is forbidden month of Rajab. During these months since ancient times forbidden bloodshed and injustice. Committing of sins in these months was considered more serious than in other months. With the advent of Islam the position of these months was only confirmed by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).
Separately allocated months of Hajj and related rituals, the month of fasting - Ramadan, the preceding two months (Rajab and Shaban) and subsequent month (Shawwal). This months of fasting and good deeds, but they got this special status and significance only with the advent of Islam. The month of Ramadan, for example, in addition to fasting is the month of this Ummah, the month of the Quran and night Taraweeh prayers.
Now the month Rabi'a al-Awwal - the last month of birth and the time of the revelation of the first near to God - Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The twelfth day of the month Rabi'a al-Awwal in Monday Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came into this world, that marked the beginning of the last period before the Day of judgment and the appearance of the last heavenly religion, the last revelation of God, the rules of which will be active until the End of the world. With the coming of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to mankind for the last time was the path of truth and salvation.
Almighty Allah showed great mercy, sending the best of all creations of his favorite to people. The Almighty says in the Holy Quran: "Certainly did Allah confer [great] favor upon the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom, although they had been before in manifest error". (The Quran, 3:164)
To bring people out of darkness into the light, forgive their sins and not leave in error and unbelief, Allah Almighty sent as the prophet of the closest and favorite of his servant - Muhammad Mustafa (peace and blessings of Almighty). What hardships only he did not have to try and survive in the way of preaching. How many times he was tried to kill, repeatedly insulted and abused, tried to extinguish the light of truth the proposals of a material nature, then by brute force. In history there has never been and will not be the person who was greater than he who suffered for the cause of his mission, but was uncompromising to the end and at the same time wise. That such was the greatest of the people - the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).
Throughout the Islamic world in this month held Mawlid - Meeting the remembrance of Allah and reading of salavat for his His Messenger (peace be upon him). In some countries, day Mawlid is even a national holiday and a day off. How do we celebrate this month, how best to spend the season Mawlid? It is best to celebrate this month with the study of the biography of the blessed Prophet (peace be upon him), the study of his life by reading books on Hadith and Sira. But the most important and the most valuable in these days is to bring behaviour and status in compliance with the Sunnah, endeavor to be like the best man on earth and relentless repetition him salavat. Assalatu vassalamu aleyka ya rasulallah, assalatu vassalamu aleyka ya nabiyallah, assalatu vassalamu aleyka ya sayyidil avvalina wa al ahirin!
