In the world there are so many secrets and mysteries associated with Islam. And one of the most secret and amazing places on earth is the Kaaba.

The Kaaba is a cube-shaped building in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is the most sacred site in Islam. The building predates Islam, and, according to Islamic tradition, the first building at the site was built by Ibrahim (a.s) but erected by Adam (a.s). The building has a mosque built around it, the Masjid al-Haram. All Muslims around the world face the Kaaba during prayers, no matter where they are.

130,000 Muslims can visit the mosque at the same time. The height of the Kaaba is 12.05m Length - 9 m, width - 13m.

In one corner of the Kaaba is the Black Stone - a stone egg shape, which, according to legend, once stood in the garden, God gave it to Adam. It was originally white Yahonty, but turned black with time, soaked with human sins.

The Kaaba is covered with Kiswah. Kiswah is the cloth that covers the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is draped annually on the 9th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, the day pilgrims leave for the plains of Mount Arafat during the Hajj. The term kiswah is Arabic for 'pall', the cloth draped over a casket, and is a cognate of the Hebrew word kisui. Every year the old Kiswa is removed, cut into small pieces and given to certain individuals, visiting foreign Muslim dignitaries and organizations.
