Quran changes a woman who reads it to the best

Quran is a miracle which survived the test of time: no letter has been altered in Quran for 14 centuries. Hundreds of thousands Muslims learn it by heart and keep it in their hearts. There are a lot of amazing scientific facts in Quran which were discovered after the revelation was sent. Allah Almighty promised to protect and guard it:

“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian” (15:9)

Some surahs of Quran are examples of impeccable poetic perfection. One of the most distinguishable features of this great Book is that it has an impact on those who read and understand it and act according to it.

Being a Muslim, I witnessed how female Muslims of various age have changed after they started learning, reflecting and applying the regulations described in Quran in their lives. I can confirm that this Book makes miracles.

Every time a Muslim follows Quran, reads it, understands it and reflects on the ayats or teaches them to others, he or she is going through positive changes in his or her own life. This concerns his or her habits, acts of worship, communication with others and more importantly, his or her soul.

Beliefs and worship

Knowledge of Quran improves female Muslim’s understanding of monotheism. She is able to better realise that there is no God, but Allah. Her Creator becomes the centre of her life. Her beliefs perfect and her heart is getting further from shirk. As it is said in Quran:
“Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him” (4:36).

A female Muslim who reads Quran is less interested in the worldly (clothes, jewelry, for example). She is focused on the most important things. Her attitude towards wudhu, her home and her family starts to get changing. She pays more attention to simple but important things. Allah says in the Quran:

“Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves.” (2:222)

Refusal from time waste

Reading Quran allows a woman not to waste her time on activities such as watching useless TV programmes, gossiping, etc. Quran takes her away from evil-speaking, talking to men and being busy with forbidden types of entertainment. Keeping away from this, a female Muslim has more time for useful activities and self-development.

Decency in dress and bearing

The more a female Muslim reads Quran, the more virtuous, timid and decent she gets. Quran returns her to her primordial human nature (fitrah). She is more conscious about her dressing, her behaviour and the way she talks to people who are not her mahram.

A female Muslim’s manners get changed to the best. She follows the regulations prescribed by Allah as far as her clothes, intonation, sense of humour and the way she talks to men are concerned:

“Do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance. And establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity [of sin], O people of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification.” (33:33)

Getting on better with people around

Understanding of Quran leads to a higher level of takva which is fear of God and constant remembering of Allah. This makes a Muslim female more careful as far as interaction with people is concerned. She does not want to break the rules prescribed by Allah and infringe on people’s rights. The fear of God makes her relations with other people better. She becomes more tolerant and patient. She forgives mistakes and faults of others. Overall, she becomes kinder as a person.

Words of Allah take her to a new level of relations with her parents, husband and relatives. Quran directs her to pay more attention on the key aspects of life. Due to Quran, she is more aware of the rights and obligations of the people around her and tries not to infringe on them. As a result, she is a loving and a beloved daughter, wife and mother who creates an atmosphere of mutual understanding, love and respect.

Peace of mind

Allah the Great said in the Holy Quran:

“O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers” (10:57).

The greatest blessing of the Quran is that it fills a woman’s heart with love towards Allah. Her heart beats with genuine faith, it is free from evil, hatred and envy towards other people. Her heart is far from feeling despair at the mercy of Allah when she faces difficulties. It is quiet as it fully trusts His Will.

Allah called such heart sound (pure):

“The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children. But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart" (26:88-89).
