Namaz In Times Of Danger

During dangers, Imam divides jama'at into 2 groups. First group reads the first raka'at prayer with the imam, not giving Salam gets up and leaves. In their place comes a second group, together with the imam reads the second raka'at and not giving Salam leaves. Having finished the prayer, after two raka'at, he gives salaam. Then first group returnes and independently finishes second raka'at gives Salam, then leave. In their place back second group and also complements their second raka'at. If it is too dangerous to praying with Jama'at, then everyone prays individually.

It is said that Abdullah ibn Umar radyyallahu anhu said: "I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in a military campaign in the direction of Najd. When we lined up in front of the enemy, then (it is time to prayer) Rasulullah (peace be upon him), together with us began to read the prayer, one part was behind him, and the other part - in front of the enemy. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) together with those who were with him, made rokuh and two sajdah, and then these people left, freeing place for those who have not read namaz. When came the second part, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) with them made rokuh and two sajdah, and then (after the tashahhud) made salaam. And then they all stood up, and then each of them independently read up on one more raka'at with two sajdah. (Bukhari)
