Is it allowed for women to remove hair from legs?

Question: Is it allowed for women to remove hair from legs? What Islam says about it?

Answer:

Woman is allowed to remove hair on the legs, resorting to shaving or bioepilation.

This determination is based on the permissibility of removing hair from her face, except for her eyebrows.

In the book “Raddul – Mukhtar” Allama Ibn Abidin (رضي الله عنه) said:

النمص : نتف الشعر ومنه المنماص المنقاش ا هـ ولعله محمول على ما إذا فعلته لتتزين للأجانب ، وإلا فلو كان في وجهها شعر ينفر زوجها عنها بسببه ، ففي تحريم إزالته بعد ، لأن الزينة للنساء مطلوبة للتحسين

A woman is allowed to remove hair from her legs through shaving (or bioepilation). It is based on the permission hair removal on the face of the woman, except the eyebrows.
